I rarely pay this price for just a bedspread (to give an idea, I purchased a queen-sized cotton quilt for less than $40 here on amazon around the same time), but I do not regret purchasing at all. I LOVE the split corners at the bottom...this enables me to use this on a captain's bed! I love my bed, but sometimes I want to give a more feminine touch. This bedspread succeeds at covering the bottom drawers while adding a romantic flare. The pillowcases don't come with this, but I purchased them separately. They aren't a must, but they do add to the beauty of this bedspread.The craftmanship of this bedspread is awesome and made with quality cotton materials. I have already washed it along with the matching ruffle pillowcases. The bedspread does take a good while to dry, but it comes out very nice. I didn't even need to iron the bottom ruffle/skirt...which also has a skirt under-liner of white cotton.This bedspread, I would say is perfect for fall (with a light duvet/comforter or blanket under) and spring (without a duvet/comforter under). I tend to warm up quickly.I have this on my bed over a bamboo duvet cover (stuffed with a silk duvet), bamboo sheets and a bamboo/cotton mattress cover. It was cold last night, but I didn't need another blanket. I was very comfortable...not cold and not overheated. I also love the extra material on the sides and the ability, to get in and out of bed without a struggle (love those split corners!). This also helps keep the warmth in without adding too much.Although this was a little bit of a splurge for me, I am extremely satisfied. If you want quality bedding and love this pattern/design, I say go for it. I don't think you will regret it. I don't have any regrets.
