We shopped a long time before landing on this one. We have always built in a F.P. in our previous homes but opted out this time around. After settling in we missed having one especially around the Holidays. I also had a perfect place for one so I started looking. Even ordered one from another site but had to return due to quality issues. This FP was the one. It arrived quickly and well packaged. it is as close to the real thing you can get with an electric fireplace (just my opinion) The size both height and width is realistic. The insert heater and faux fire works beautifully. There are settings on the remote and the front of the insert for different colors of flame and different height of flame. We chose the realistic fire color and at a lower height setting and it looks very realistic. We are not easy people to please especially with bigger purchases like this and tend to buy high end for the quality. We took a chance on the lower priced one and we are very happy. The fireplace as a whole is beautiful. The assemble was very easy. I am a small woman and was able to put this completely together one evening by myself. the insert and all and surprised my husband. I then ordered wood carvings in a daisy pattern. Spray painted them the same white and applied them. If you zoom in you can see this in the photos. Just an idea. Going to add smaller marble tiles to the surround to match the marble tile hearth we placed under it. Did this to protect the cabinet corners from mopping and so on.I purchased this fireplace over the many others I've shopped for over the years because of it's size and style. It looks very real, like an attached home fireplace, and it is tall (height was the deciding factor for me).I am a small person and I assembled nearly all of it by myself--the only time I needed a second person was to help lift and place the top into position (it is heavy and long for just one person). Once completed, it looked absolutely awesome!!!The only issue encountered was that the boxes would not arrive, the delivery date kept changing, and I had started a refund request. The package had been stuck with the local carrier for a couple of weeks, but the issue was finally resolved. The seller was very accommodating and willing to process a refund if I had proceeded with that option.Wish the fire was a bit more realistic and the remote is a bit delayed but other than that, I love the mantle the most! I searched a really long time to find a faux fireplace this size.Easy to build.It looks like it COULD be nice, but the hardware was not included. There is no one for us to call to have the hardware shipped, there is no description of the hardware on the instructions either so I can’t even go to a store to buy the screws myself.So now I have a very expensive pile of white wood in my living room just in time for Thanksgiving. Perfect :((**Update: It took a bit of investigating and a lot of back and forth, but the manufacturer DID make things right and sent us the hardware package. I just wanted to make sure I added this update because although it was a little hassle, they were very cooperative about it.As advertisedTurned out beautiful! First mantle was damaged but the seller had us a replacement in no time! Was no fault of theirs as the shipping box was banged up bad.Absolutely love it!
